I was trawling the Internet this evening (for a change) and came across an 'article' on Stem Cell research and Neuropathic pain. The article was on the 'London Pain Consultants' website, and whilst I realise it may be slightly advertorial so am immediately skeptical, (The article was 'posted' by by Dr C.A.Jenner MB BS, FRCA) It still made me wonder if there is any validity in the claims the article made. "Increasing potential for curing Neuropathic pain" etc. As a young person, with *something* Neuropathic going on, I guess I'll be looking to the future of medical science to provide some relief in years to come. Apologies if this has been discussed before, or if it's just false hope floating around on the Internet. The URL is below. Hope it's okay to post that here. I'm guessing the different types of Neuropathies/Neuronopathies/Ganglionopathies would have varying chances of successful treatment with Stem Cell therapy. Has there been any discussion as to the availability of this sort of treatment for the average sufferer in the near future? or is it still very much in the experimental stages? Be great to know more about what the future may hold.
