I went to my pdoc because I was obcessively picking at my cuticles and making them bleed. I ask for anafronil an old ssri used for ocd like behaviors...instead my pdoc told me to try prozac. This scared me to death and I told him that I was afraid that it would make me manic.(iam bp1)..he said to not be afraid that he would watch me...well It stopped the picking and I felt so good..and started doing many projects and started spiraling out of control...I impulsively bought a car because my friend did, a beetle, then proceeded to delusionally try to just "give it back" literally after I decided that I did not like it....they eventually took it back at a loss of $5K...I then bought another car in less than 3 weeks...I had all kinds of heart palpitations and cardiac work up, physical stuff and was manic for a long time...mean while my pdoc had made a follow up appointment for 3 months!!!!!! can you imagine putting me on prozac and letting me fend for my self for 3 months...I wrote/emailed him that I was not doing well....he did not respond...anyway I ended up being hospitalized, admited myself with my Mdoc's blessing on a regular floor to ride out the rest of my prozac withdrawl...I fired that pdoc...that was 5 years ago...some of you may remember that.
I usually just say 2 cars in 3 weeks.

What a story. I have never heard that one. Thank you for sharing
it. I am one that can always use the sharing of such stories.

It helps me to understand many people in my family, at times even
me. I wonder at times if I am not somewhat in a maniac mode.

I will be looking for a counselor just as soon as I can get rid of some
more of my debts.

And yes, my friends, I know about all the low income and all the other
kinds of programs. But my husband makes to much money we don't
qualify.

And I can't handle another bill right now.

My massage for $35.00 a week is all I can handle.
