Default lyrica or neurontin.

both lyrica and neurontin have been mentioned to me for my small fiber neuropothy. has anyone had experience with both. which one did you prefer. both sounds like getting off is hell.

any other choices appreciated.

A friend dealt with and still does but it's so improved, finally got off neurontin and took lyrica for a while but off it too. She's getting pretty decent relief with Grape Seed Extract. I've been taking it going on 25 yrs.

I have tried both the Lyrica & Gabapentin(Neurotin), I personally get far better relief for my nerve pain with the Gabapentin(Neurotin). Lyrica did absolutely nothing for me other than make me gain 50+lbs over the 2.5 years I was taking it!

Welcome!

That's a lot of weight gain. Drugs.com states that Lyrica does cause weight gain sometimes. I haven't tried it and now will definitely not want it if it's ever offered.

I have tried both. I didn't like Lyrica when I tried it with the side effects. I stopped it after a week. Neurontin works much better for me.

Neither, they are all toxic to our bodies...best to find remedies that are the least toxic...I've been working with supplements for about 30 yrs and have had my share of drug damage.... Lots of info around here other than toxic drugs. Be well.

Lyrica made me feel weird. Goofy. I had to get off it.
