My fatigue has become so debilitating I'm willing to do almost anything. I started on Ritalin about a month ago, and it did help with the cog fog and a bit of a pick me up.
However, I'm just not able to do anything but lay around. I take welbutrin alertec, and now ritalin and at least four cups of coffee a day, and still I'm a slow couch potato. By the way, pre MS, I had so much energy I drove folks crazy because I was always doing something, so this is not my natural state. So here is the question, could it be related to chronic low blood pressure. Average range used to be 100/70 give or take and the last couple of years it has dropped to around 90/60 and lately in the mid to high 80s over mid 50s. I purchased a monitor and started monitoring it today. All my stimulant meeds have a side effect of high blood pressure? What do you all think? Any advice, guidance is appreciated. |

Sandra,
Low blood pressure can cause fatigue. I would certainly discuss this with your doctor. Symptoms of low blood pressure: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/low...CTION=symptoms

I normally run 100/70 but when I drop to 90/60 I get tired.
You need to see your MD. this deserves investigation. ![]()

Hi guys
I normally run on around 90-100/60-70 too. I have my blood pressure checked regularly, when I have my Tysabri and they always ask if I am dizzy or lightheaded. It seems to be a common thing amongst us - I would be interested in finding out how many of us are like this. I have big fatigue and I do get lightheaded/cog fog a lot. Lyn |

My normal is not that low but it is 110/70. But since my pain has picked up in the last several months my blood pressure has climbed to 140/100. I hope they can do something for you soon.

I agree, you seem really low and I would get it looked into fast. Mine is usually around 120/80.
I know about fatigue or the feeling I should say. It is truely distroying my life too. The antidepressants don't work or make it worse. I've had all the blood tests the neuro wanted and last mo I asked for a thyroid too. Yes, it came back fine. I'm on adderall and it helps a bit some days. Still looking for a solution here. Just wanted to wish you well and let you know you are not alone. Oh, I did see your meds are supposed to have a possible side of high pressure. No idea there - go to the DR please! ![]()
