My pain nurse has suggested buying a pair of Fitflop shoes, they have a microwobbleboard fitted that helps with balance and strengthens muscles.
The nurse said she has had a lot of patients reporting less pain with them.
There is a particular style I think may be useful, they are a mule with a fleece lining named Gogh. My daughter said they are a cross between Ugg boots and Croc sandals, I don't think she meant it as a compliment but then she is 14 and not in any pain lol.
Thoughts anyone.......

They look like Sketchers we have here in US.

I haven't tried those yet...they are really expensive here.

I have looked at the shoes with springs in the heel tho too.
But haven't tried them on yet. Back when I was working a supervisor there had those and said they were good for the ankles. And I have that left ankle issue.

Thanks Mrs D, they are on Ebay for $60 plus p&p I think I am going to give them a go, my only problem is the fleece lining may be too warm for my burning feet.

Oh, I can understand the fleece. I can't wear those lined type shoes or slippers either, once my feet get too warm, then the burning starts in earnest and is difficult to shut off!

Let us know what develops. I'm always on the lookout for a new shoe that might be useful. My foot doctor said I should have very rigid soles for those sesamoids and that sometimes makes it difficult...also the high instep . Some days I cannot find ONE pair that meets my foot "requirements". !!

I'm looking at some I saw in a local medical supply - made by P.W. Minor, (NAYY - not an endorsement - just informational) allegedly for diabetics. I'll probably check the other medical supply houses in my area for other brands/options- just haven't gotten there yet.

I tried at a shop and one of a friend, i found a bit heavy, but never used outdoors, it felt so strange, like i was in high heels (i so miss my high heels shoes)
the thing is that i feel scary to walk with them on the streets, these rough surfaces of sidewalker, loose the balance and stumble out there

Carladandan, thanks I am still waiting on the shoes, I have ordered from the US as they are so expensive here in the UK.
Hopefully they will arrive soon although as you may know the post in Scotland is still slow due to the snow- they don't even think the backlog will be cleared in time for Christmas I hear!
I wouldn't normally buy shoes on the nternet but the pain nurse said so many people are having positive results so here's hoping.My problem will be having to check that they are still on my feet as I have ordered mules and I won't be able to feel them lol.

My neuropathies & balances are soo bad I wouldn't try it! NO WAY.
Web up 'fit flop reviews' on-line and see what others say. Avoid the manufacturers' sites as YOU KNOW THEY are gonna be positive?
I did well with Crocs shoes, but have to warn you that you MUST ease into wearing them gently. They have good support? My podiatrist loved my getting them, but don't put them on and wear them for 3 hours at a stretch at first! You will discover foot muscles protesting that'll make you think you've broken bones! Happened to me, I still wear them for short periods and they are comfy w/good arch and pronation support too. [Web up 'pronation'-its common w/PNers]
