I have taken it for glucose control. It seemed to work for that very well but I found it upset my stomach too much. It's purported to be a healthy alternative to metformin. I didn't find it was something that provided pain relief. I found benfotiamine and R-Lipoic Acid were just as effective , gave some pain relief and didnt upset my stomach.

The one I used was called Good State Glyco-X 500.

Hi, I'm not sure why you are asking, but a online health friend has been taking Berberine since early 2014 and has replaced metformin. She says she is still doing good with it. She wanted off metformin as she worried about liver damage.

Here is some info to think about.

Dr. Blaylock likes it--he recently featured it in his monthly newsletter and wrote of its benefits throughout the whole newsletter.

Theres some evidence, maybe not strong, on pubmed that it can regenerate neurons.
