Default My hair hurts...is this an MS-ish thing?

There's a patch of skin (and hair) on the back of my head hurts. I've got pretty much a constant weird pain in the right side of the back of my neck that goes up to the back of my skull. Hurts when I move my head, doesnt matter which direction, it feels like something is pulling. That, I think could be a pulled muscle.

I cant touch my hair in that area with my hands or a comb or brush without it immediately sending a weird pain into the side of my head (like a burn). I'm also feeling a weird pain in the right side of my lower jaw when I touch my hair which makes my hair and head hurt...it goes from my hair to my head to my jaw. (if that makes sense)

I've never had a weird pain like this before. I'm just wondering if this is a weird little nerve pain. It's not excruciating (yet), but it's irritating. The neck pain hurts more than anything else.

Anyone else ever had a similar problem? Any ideas??

I've had sore spots in my hair before. The hair/scalp in a particular part will hurt but usually it lasts about one day and it pretty much is right there on that spot. Sounds like yours hurts quite a bit more than what I've experienced.

It seems like the patch of sensitive skin is a bit bigger than it was yesterday, but the neck pain is starting to go away. I took one of the Midrins that I take for migraines...which bizarrely the Midrin has helped before when I had optic nerve pain from Optic Neuritis, so I figured it wouldnt hurt to try it. I think it's just enough pain med (Tylenol and something else) to help.

the Midrin has helped before when I had a migraine that made my neck hurt really bad, I dont know if the pain in the neck is triggering this or not...at least it's not as painful as it was earlier. It was just painful enough tonight to make me comment about it.

So glad the med is helping and that the pain is a bit better!

yeah, so was I...I'm all out of Midrin now.

My head still hurts. I took a Tylenol, but it's not helping me, so I'm guessing the other ingredient in Midrin must be what was helping last night.

I'm tearing up the house looking for any extra Midrins. This morning the pain is a bit worse. I was going to get my hair cut today, but that's out now...no way I'm letting anyone near me with a comb or scissors. Just laying on that spot on a nice soft pillow was annoying.

This has to be an MS thing. Only the MS Trolls would do something that's painful and annoying and this weird. I think I'll go take a Neurontin and see if that helps since I ran out of Midrin and cant find any stray Midrins roaming about.

This morning it feels like my head did after I got whacked in the head with a hammer when I was 12...without the accompanying concussion. Feels like a bruise and almost like there's a big Grand Canyon sized cut in the skin. There's nothing there tho...it's just normal skin when I touch it.

Everytime I turn my head a certain way, it feels like the phantom cut in my head is pulling apart. Really really really weird...my neck feels like I have a bad pulled muscle (possible, I was cleaning the other day and lifted a few heavy things)
