Default Does wallpaper have shelf life?

I have some rolls of wallpaper that I've had for quite a while. Does anybody know if it could still actually be used on walls? Or is it craft material now? I can't find anything about wallpaper's shelf life.

Is it pre-pasted? If so, just add a little water to a small piece and see if it still gets tacky. If not your still good! Buy some wallpaper paste and use that to hang it.

Why don't you put it on the shelf and leave it there for awhile, to see what happens..

All I know is that I had a roll of shelf paper in one of my cabinets for a long time. When we were doing extensive cleaning for a yard sale I pulled that roll out and out came about a million ants that had made a nest in it! So be careful.

My aunt's wallpaper got damaged so she got out the 20 year old leftover roll that she had to make the repair. She always pastes the pre-pasted, btw. Anyway, it worked. The coloring was a little off, so she soaked a tea bag and rubbed that over the new stuff until it resembled the old.

I know I am late with this, but I hope it helped.

For a minute, I was afraid there was a snake in my wallpaper.

I do not believe wallpaper has a shelflife. Shelf paper, however, does (until you take it off the shelf)..
