A quick update after 2 years.
I am doing fairly well, continuing to improve slowly. Back to full time computer work. As long as I don't forget to take breaks and do my exercises and stretches, the pain stays at the level where I can ignore it. Though I am never really pain free - there is always a feeling of discomfort in my neck/upper trap area. Don't know if I ever get back to 100%, but I am pretty happy withmy improvement so far. |

Just checking in for a quick update after 3 years.
Overall, I am doing good. Not huge improvement over the last year, but I noticed that I can now skip my stretching routine every now and then without much problem. Still continue my daily exercise though including running/walking daily. Resumed some old hobbies: cooking, playing guitar, woodworking. Still can't do bicycling without flaring things up. The permanent discomfort in my neck/upper trap is not going away so I just live with it. |

A quick four year update.
Was doing pretty good with full-time computer work, although no improvement from a year ago. Last month started a new job. Longer hours, longer commute, more stress. Having a relapse now. Not nearly as bad as four years ago. Back to Edgelow exercises trying to bring it under control... |

Hi hiker,
I don't expect to see you again for another 8 months or so.. but maybe my reply will bring you back. Seems the things that aggravated you are the things the really set my TOS off in the first place. As of now I am doing lots of exercising, focusing on belly breathing during the day, trying to sleep on my back. Lots of stretching, and I still see a PT that does manual therapy, dry needling, etc. Like you, I have ups and downs but have definitely seen overall improvement since beginning. Posture is much better, pain seems to be manageable most of the time. Still dealing with a lot of tightness in pec minor, scalenes and pain in trap area even though they aren't necessarily tight. Could be posterior scalene though as well. SCM is tight often but I find that one to be easy to self massage because the muscle itself is so obvious. Hope you are still out there and look forward to your next update. |

Hi, I have a recent diagnosis of TOS after a lot of time with symptoms. Not sure if it is going to happen, but I would be glad to know about Hiker's health condition.
Hope you are all ok with TOS symptoms. |

Hello all,
I've been looking online for the edgelow protocol but can't seem to find it. The website doesn't seem to be available any longer. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you. Florina |

Hey Florina, you can find TOS ENVEST program in 3 places.
(1) search for Edgelow in the "Archive org" website books. They have some books that contain the program. (2) Springer 2013 Thoracic Outlet syndrome book. This has almost full program. (3) Physical Therapy: Treatment of Common Orthopedic Conditions book, Jaypee Brothers editorial. It is the chapter 1. It has the updated porgram by Steve Talajkowski |
