Default Problems after vaginal prolapse repair .. no mesh used

A few years ago I had a vaginal hysterectomy and prolapse repair.

I have been unable to have penetrative sex without pain, and not had penetrative sex for at least two years because of pain.

For the last year or so I have had an odd discharge which prompted me to visit My Gynaecologist who was unable to examine me internally even when using local anaesthetic.

I am now booked in to have an examination under general anaesthetic next week and she thinks there may be lesion/lesions there that are causing the discharge and bleeding and pain, so if so, they will be removed for biopsy.

I just wondered if anyone else had had problems after a vaginal hysterectomy or prolapse repair?

There was no mesh used in this procedure, I was just stitched.

Thank you for reading.
